Visual Mould Inspection
Outside of fit, form and function of the home/building, typically the biggest issue is moisture and mould problems. Hiring an inspector that is a certified IICRC Water Restoration, Moisture Detection and Mould Remediation technician can save you thousands down the line.
Infrared Thermal Imaging
Using an infrared camera our inspections can help you locate moisture inside walls, ceilings and floors. These powerful cameras are also helpful in finding missing insulation, overheating electrical problems, plumbing leaks, and heat and air conditioning air leakage.
Digital Moisture Detection
Moisture in your home can lead to mould within 48 to 72 hours. Using digital moisture detection we are able to determine the amount of moisture in wood, drywall etc and prescribe a remediation process.

Mould Air Quality Testing
Whether it's a new home or an older home, the potential for mould in the home is always a possibility. Health risks can increase with the amount of mould spores in the air. The symptoms start out as flu like symptoms that can later lead to long term health effects. Having the home tested for mould is a service your inspector provides. This can be added to your home inspection at the time of the inspection. Cost includes full lab report (2 business days for results.
Mould Remediation
On average, 30 to 50% of the attics we inspect have mould in them. For many clients the presence of mould in the attic can be a deal breaker. Your inspector can not only determine the reason the mould is present; we can now remove it. Minimum charge for this service is $400, then $1 to $2 per square foot. Please note; our home/ building inspection is not to be used as a vehicle to obtain additional revenue. Please obtain quotes from at least 3 other companies
Chemical-Free Odour Removal
Selling a house or buying a new home that has a bad odour? Cooking odours, pet odours, smoking, can all turn people off from buying a home. Using ozone shock treatment can remove the odour. Plus it has been known to kill bacteria, salmonella, e-coli, etc. This is a great service to have your new home smelling fresh and clean. Our equipment can treat 6,000 square feet.

Rick was very professional. He was very thorough both inside and outside of the home. We learned a lot about the house we purchased. He did not miss anything, even something minor. He made great recommendations on how to prevent minor issue from becoming major ones. He used visual diagrams to show how major utilities worked. We would definitely recommend Rick.

I don't have enough words to exactly express his work but for us it was like someone introduced to our own home and in a very efficient, informative way. It's our first home in Canada and we were fairly new to house structures here and he explained EVERYTHING. I felt like we now know every nook and cranny of our house. Very detailed, very professional, careful to acknowledge the client's level of knowledge and explain accordingly. So far whoever we spoke to about our home inspection said, "looks like he was through and covered everything". We are very happy we chose Rick for our home inspection, not to mention the mini course he gave for our hot tub, not because it was part of inspection but because he owns one and knew about it.
